Le label Erratum est l'un des rares en France à promouvoir une autre manière d'envisager l'écoute de la musique. Résolument à contre courant des tendances actuelles de la musique électronique, il s'inscrit dans une approche plus poétique et fait beaucoup plus référence à la musique contemporaine voir drone ou bruitiste.

Leur site http://www.erratum.org/ est en pleine restructuration, et pendant les travaux les trois compilations sortie confidentielement sont désormais en téléchargement libre. Une bonne occasion pour les moins avertis de découvrir Charlemagne palestine ou Etant Donnés et pour les autres de faire le plein de musique pour passer l'automne loin des linéaires de la Fnac !

Syd Barrett, membre fondateur du groupe de rock psychédélique Pink Floyd, est décédé à l'âge de 60 ans, a annoncé ce mardi une porte-parole du groupe. Il serait mort vendredi dernier des suites de complications liées au diabète.

Son frère, Alan, a confirmé la nouvelle. "Il est mort sans souffrir, chez lui. Des funérailles familiales seront organisées dans les prochains jours" a-t-il déclaré au journal The Guardian.

Pour Pink Floyd, quatuor fondé en 1965, les choses se sont accélérées en 67, peu après avoir signé chez EMI. Leur premier opus, The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, est souvent considéré comme l’un des meilleurs albums de rock psychédélique. Il s’agit du seul disque enregistré avec le génial Syd Barrett à la tête du navire, le chanteur-guitariste ayant ensuite rapidement montré des signes d’instabilité à cause de sa consommation de LSD. En 1968, Barrett était remplacé par Dave Gilmour.

A l’aube de la décennie ’70, Syd a sorti deux albums en solo, The Madcap Laughs et Barrett. Il n’avait plus enregistré depuis lors, apparaissait peu en public et était retombé, si pas dans l’oubli, dans une certaine bulle d’anonymat.
